Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

Before you use LongTable you are asked, in the app, to accept these Terms and to confirm that you are 18 or older. We record the version you accepted and when. If you do not agree, do not use LongTable. By using LongTable you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

2. What LongTable is

LongTable is a verified community app for institute alumni in India, developed and operated by Lilywilliam Craftedcode (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. (CIN U46411CT2025OPC017478), Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. It provides alumni-only housing and flatmate listings, events, discussion forums, a services directory, a marketplace, and private messaging.

3. Eligibility and verification

• You must be 18 or older to use LongTable. LongTable is intended for adults who are alumni of participating institutes.
• Access to features is tiered by verification status. Some features (such as Events, Forum, and member profiles) are limited to fully verified members.
• You must provide truthful information during sign-up and verification. Misrepresenting your identity or alumni status may lead to rejection, suspension, or removal.

4. Your account

• You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
• You may permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → ⋯ → Settings → Delete account in the app.

5. Community rules — zero tolerance

LongTable has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive members. You must not post, send or share:

• harassment, bullying, threats or intimidation;
• hate speech, or content that attacks people for their caste, religion, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, disability or origin;
• sexual or sexually explicit content;
• content that encourages violence or self-harm;
• spam, scams, phishing or fraudulent listings;
• other members' personal information without their consent;
• anything illegal.

This applies to everything you post, including photos and videos, and to private messages.

You must not try to find out who wrote an anonymous post or comment.

LongTable automatically blocks listed abusive, hateful, sexual or threatening words in public posts, comments, listings, events, directory entries, Alloys and profiles. Most are refused when you post; anything that reaches LongTable another way is hidden automatically until a moderator checks it. This filter is a safeguard, not a guarantee: it cannot catch every spelling, it does not check photos, videos or private messages, and you remain responsible for what you post. Moderators act on everything reported.

6. Listings, events, and transactions

• LongTable is a venue. Housing, flatmate, marketplace, and directory listings are created by members; LongTable is not a party to any transaction, does not handle payments between members, and does not verify listings beyond community moderation.
• You deal with other members at your own risk. Meet safely, verify independently, and use common sense in any transaction.
• Events are hosted by members. Hosts are responsible for their events; attendance is at your own discretion.

7. Content and moderation

• You retain ownership of content you post. You grant LongTable a licence to host, display, and distribute that content within the app so the service can function.
• Reporting. You can report any post, comment, listing, event, directory entry, Alloy, member or conversation. A post, comment, listing, event or directory entry you report is hidden for you straight away. Reporting a member or a conversation does not hide them — block the member if you don't want to hear from them. Reports are reviewed by LongTable's moderators, who act on reports within 24 hours.
• Hiding and blocking. You can hide any post, comment, listing, event or directory entry you don't want to see; it disappears from your feeds, search, the map, and your Saved and Activity lists. You can block a member: they can no longer message you, and you no longer see the posts, comments, listings, events or directory entries they publish under their name. Blocking a member never hides anonymous posts — that would reveal who wrote them — so you can also block the author of an anonymous post or comment: you no longer see that item or the author's later anonymous posts and comments. We never tell you who an anonymous author is, and we never tell anyone that you blocked them.
• Anonymous posting. Posting anonymously hides your name from other members. Authorised LongTable moderators can identify the account behind an anonymous post or comment when investigating abuse — including after the post is deleted, if it was reported — and the Community rules apply to anonymous content exactly as they do to named content.
• Enforcement. When content breaks these Terms we remove it — including photos, videos and profile photos — and we suspend the account that posted it. A suspended account cannot use LongTable. Suspension does not by itself remove the account's other posts; moderators remove any that also break these Terms. We may also restrict features or terminate accounts that harm the community.
• Appeals. If you think a moderation decision or suspension is wrong, email support@lilywilliam.com from your account's email address — the Email an appeal button on the suspension screen adds your account reference for you. A moderator will review your appeal, and if it is upheld your account is restored.

8. Cost

• LongTable is free to use. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no paid tier. We never ask you for payment details, and the app contains nothing to buy.
• Every feature described in these terms is available to every member at no cost, subject only to the fair-use limits we apply to keep the service safe and running — for example limits on how many listings, saved searches, or uploads you can create in a period.
• If we ever introduce a paid option, we will update these terms and the privacy policy first, and a paid option will never buy or change trust level, alumni verification, access to another member's restricted information, or a safety endorsement.

9. Disclaimers

LongTable is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any listing, event, or member communication is accurate or reliable.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LongTable and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from transactions or interactions between members.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. When we make a material change we will ask you to accept the new version in the app before you continue using LongTable, and this page will show the new version and date.
