Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using the LongTable app, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use LongTable.

2. What LongTable is

LongTable is a verified community app for institute alumni in India, developed and operated by LilyWilliam Craftedcode (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. (CIN U46411CT2025OPC017478), Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. It provides alumni-only housing and flatmate listings, events, discussion forums, a services directory, a marketplace, and private messaging.

3. Eligibility and verification

• LongTable is intended for adults (18+) who are alumni of participating institutes.
• Access to features is tiered by verification status. Some features (such as Events, Forum, and member profiles) are limited to fully verified members.
• You must provide truthful information during sign-up and verification. Misrepresenting your identity or alumni status may lead to rejection, suspension, or removal.

4. Your account

• You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
• You may permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Account & Security in the app. Deleting your LongTable account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings before deleting if you do not want it to renew.

5. Community rules

• Be respectful. Harassment, hate speech, threats, and abusive behaviour are not allowed.
• Post honestly. Listings, events, and directory entries must be accurate and lawful.
• No spam, scams, phishing, or fraudulent activity.
• No illegal content or use of the app for illegal purposes.
• Respect other members' privacy. Do not share other members' personal information without their consent, and do not attempt to deanonymize anonymous posts.

6. Listings, events, and transactions

• LongTable is a venue. Housing, flatmate, marketplace, and directory listings are created by members; LongTable is not a party to any transaction, does not handle payments between members, and does not verify listings beyond community moderation.
• You deal with other members at your own risk. Meet safely, verify independently, and use common sense in any transaction.
• Events are hosted by members. Hosts are responsible for their events; attendance is at your own discretion.

7. Content and moderation

• You retain ownership of content you post. You grant LongTable a licence to host, display, and distribute that content within the app so the service can function.
• We may remove content, restrict features, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm the community.
• You can report content and block members in the app. Reports are reviewed by moderators.

8. LongTable Premium

• LongTable Premium is optional. It adds convenience and reach; it never buys or changes trust level, alumni verification, access to another member's restricted information, or a safety endorsement.
• The monthly and annual plans are auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews for the same duration at the price Apple shows unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Apple controls billing and refund decisions. Where Apple's Billing Grace Period applies, Premium may continue for up to 16 days while Apple retries payment.
• Eligible newly verified members may receive one 60-day complimentary Premium period. It requires no payment details, is not an App Store introductory offer, and never converts automatically into a paid subscription.
• A paid subscription is bound to the LongTable account that made the purchase. It can be restored to that same account after reinstalling, but it does not silently transfer to another LongTable account. Deleting the LongTable account does not cancel billing with Apple and removes access to that account.
• To enforce the no-transfer rule and prevent replay or fraud, LongTable may retain a server-only binding record after account deletion. It contains one-way SHA-256 digests derived from the Apple original transaction identifier and account-association token, together with a non-identifying schema version, Apple environment label, and creation and last-seen timestamps. It contains no LongTable user ID, raw Apple identifier or token, receipt, signed transaction (JWS), profile information, or payment details.

9. Disclaimers

LongTable is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any listing, event, or member communication is accurate or reliable.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LongTable and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from transactions or interactions between members.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.

12. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date above. Continued use of LongTable after changes means you accept the updated terms.
