LongTable is a private community app for verified alumni of premier institutions. Members find housing and flatmates, discover events and meetups, join alumni communities, browse a member directory, and trade on a community marketplace — all inside a network where everyone's alumni status has been verified.

Why LongTable exists
The real-world needs alumni actually have — a flat in a new city, a trustworthy flatmate, a buyer you can meet in person, people from your institute nearby — are poorly served by open platforms full of strangers. LongTable solves this by keeping the network private: every member is a verified alumnus, so the trust you had on campus carries into the transactions and connections you make after it.
For verified alumni
LongTable is intended for adult alumni of participating premier institutions. There is no open sign-up feed — access to community features is gated by verification.

Housing, flatmates, meetups, second-hand goods, professional discovery — the app is organised around things members actually do offline, not engagement metrics.
Private by design
Per-field profile visibility, approximate locations on public listings, contact details shared only when a member chooses to, and in-app blocking and reporting.

List a flat, look for one, or find a flatmate — within a pool of verified alumni. Listings show approximate locations publicly; exact details are shared on the owner's terms.
Events & meetups
Member-hosted events and alumni meetups, with an explore map to discover what is happening nearby and RSVP-style attendance.
Alumni communities
Interest- and city-based member communities (we call them Alloys) with discussion forums, including the option to post anonymously within the verified network.
Alumni directory
A searchable member directory and services listing, so alumni can find each other by city, company, or what they offer — with every profile field's visibility controlled by its owner.
Community marketplace
Buy and sell second-hand goods with fellow alumni instead of strangers. LongTable is the venue — members deal directly and meet safely.
Private messaging
Direct member-to-member messaging for following up on listings, events, and introductions — with blocking and reporting built in.
Trust and verification
Verification is the product. Everything in LongTable is built on knowing that the person on the other side is a real alumnus.
Verified access
Members verify their alumni status through supported methods such as professional-profile verification, document review, or a vouch from already-verified members. Access to community features is tiered by verification level.
Manual review where it matters
Automated checks are backed by human review. Verification submissions are used only for review and retained only as long as needed.
Community standards
Clear community rules — honest listings, respectful behaviour, no spam or scams — are part of our Terms of Service and are enforced.
Reporting & moderation
Members can report posts, listings, and messages, and block other members. Moderators review every report and can remove content or restrict accounts.
